American conductor Keith Chambers is the founder and artistic director of New Amsterdam Opera. He has conducted nearly 200 performances of about 60 operas, collaborating with companies such as Dallas Opera, Indianapolis Opera, Amarillo Opera, and Shreveport Opera. He is also a pianist, vocal coach, and arts administrator, and he co‑founded New Classical Artist Management, dedicated to nurturing and promoting operatic talent.
Soprano McKenzie Garey, a native of Franklin, Tennessee, holds degrees from the Eastman School of Music and the University of Houston. Her recent performances include Mimi in selections from La Bohème with the Middle Tennessee Sinfonietta, soprano soloist in Elijah with St. Martin’s Episcopal Church, and featured soloist in ECHO’s New Year’s Eve Concert. In 2026, she will tour with Houston Grand Opera’s “Opera to Go!”, performing multiple roles in The Velveteen Rabbit. At…
